Last weekend I was in a seminar that had to do with search and rescue with dogs. Some people from Montana came up to teach the it. The weather was perfect and it was a great learning experience. I always enjoy learning from other people.
Davin hot on a scent in an old quarry. The hardest part was trying to figure out how the wind was flowing in this type of terrain in order to help the dog out.
Davin working his way up the side of a mountain.
Davin trying to figure out how to get to the person perched on the side of a cliff on a rock and me wishing I had four legs.
It was a great weekend. The only downside and rather creepy is that while we were searching for humans we also found a lot of wood ticks. Yuck! So far I have pulled three of them out of my dog. This is the first time I have ever found wood ticks in one of my dogs. So far I haven’t found any on me and I’m hoping it will stay that way.
